As the founder and CEO of Aqueous Technologies, a company I started in 1992, I bring more than three decades of entrepreneurial experience to every conversation. What makes my journey unique is that I never set out to be an entrepreneur. I call myself a reluctant entrepreneur because I only launched my business after my employer refused to pursue a product I had designed. With strong technical skills but no formal business training, I had to learn entrepreneurship the hard way: through trial, error, and transformation.

I am also the author of The Reluctant Entrepreneur: Anatomy of a Business Start-Up – From Uncertainty to Unstoppable, where I share my entrepreneurial journey and highlight the missteps, near-failures, and lessons that ultimately built a sustainable company. In addition, I regularly speak at major universities and business groups on the subject of entrepreneurship, where I equip the next generation of leaders with real-world lessons and strategies.

Alongside my speaking and writing, I host The Reluctant Entrepreneur Podcast, where I interview business owners about their own journeys, and The Reliability Matters Podcast, which focuses on technical excellence in the electronics industry.
